초롱: “Select the sentence that ~” 문제가 요구하는 것은 어떤 것입니까?

강쌤: 이 문제 유형은 specific detail 문제의 일종입니다. 문제에서 key word를 확인하고 이를 본문에서 찾으라는 것입니다.

초롱: 이 유형에 답하기 위해 본문 어디를 읽으면 되나요?

강쌤: 문제에서 key word를 확인한 후 이것을 본문에 대입하면 됩니다. 즉, 질문의 key word가 본문 어딘가에 나오는데 그것을 찾으면 됩니다. 이 내용을 정리하면 다음과 같습니다.

 

공식 5: “Select the sentence that ~” 문제는 specific detail(구체적 사항) 문제의 일종이다. 이 문제에 답하는 요령은 문제에서 key word를 확인한 후 이것을 본문에 대입하면 된다. 즉, 질문의 key word가 본문 어딘가에 나오는데 그것을 찾으면 된다.

In the 17th century, political thinkers distinguished the private area of the family from the public area of political activity, and in the 19th century, Marxists told between the private area of the family and the public area of economic activity. In the 20th century, in contrast, feminists refused to divide a society into private and public areas. They thought that such divisions had come into masking the complexities of women’s real lives. Thus, they concentrated on the intricate historical interactions between family, politics, and economics. They recognized that since societies were composed of small ethnic groups, all of the areas had developed from strong ties so that they had been interconnected. Feminists claimed that the current family, nation, and economy each included factors of the others.

강쌤: 1번 질문에서 key word는 무엇인가요? key word는 주로 <동사 + 보어/목적어>입니다.

초롱: key word는 “describes evidence”입니다.

강쌤: 그렇죠. 좀 더 자세히 살펴보면 “여성주의자들이 제시한 증거”를 설명하는 문장을 찾는 것이죠. 정답은 지문에서 몇 번째 줄에 나올까요?

초롱: ???

강쌤: evidence는 ‘왜 여성주의자들이 그렇게 생각했는가의 이유’와 같은 것입니다. 지문에서 ‘여성주의자들이 가족, 정치, 경제가 서로 연결됐다’고 생각한 이유를 언급한 문장은 몇 번째 줄에 나오나요?

초롱: (이제 알겠다는 듯 고개를 끄덕이며) 14~18번째 줄에 나옵니다.
